Lichfield, the cathedral city of Staffordshire is located in West Midlands County of Staffordshire. It is 18 miles north of Birmingham. It is also southeast of Stafford county. This, along with much of Lichfield’s notable historical architecture, gives Lichfield a more traditional feel than many other cities and towns in the middle of the urban Midlands. It is close to Birmingham, Tamworth, and Burton upon Trent, making it a popular choice for commuters who want a more peaceful place to call home. There are also the Staffordshire Moorlands countryside, Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Tamworth with its modern retail park. Lichfield Trent Valley is a short distance from London Euston. Crewe takes 35 minutes.
Lichfield has excellent road connections thanks to the A38, A51, and nearby A5 Toll Road and M6 Toll Road. Birmingham is just half an hour’s drive away, and Derby and Leicester are an hour. A number of bus services are available from the central bus stop.
